Personal statements/statements of purpose

Most universities demand a personal statement or statement of purpose (or sometimes, terrifyingly, both) as part of their application procedures for undergraduate or postgraduate study.  There is a lot of advice online about how to craft these documents to highlight your suitability for your chosen programme of study.  However, you don’t want inaccuracies and stylistic problems to detract from your statement. Would you like me to review your statement so that you make the right impression?

In the last two years, I have helped master's degree applicants polish statements/application essays for a range of highly selective universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, ICL and UCL in the UK; Columbia, Cornell and Johns Hopkins in the USA; and HKU and CUHK in Hong Kong.
