A friendly, professional and fairly priced proofreading service for international students and academics
Thank you for visiting!
My name is Pat, and I am the Director of Capital Proofreading.
Capital Proofreading was established to help
International students deliver written work to the high standard of English required by universities and
International academics achieve success in publishing their research.
I am a qualified and highly experienced academic editor and promise to provide you with a proofreading and editing service that is careful, professional, confidential, on time and affordable.
For international students, I edit documents written for universities in the UK, USA, Australia, Canada, Singapore and other countries where courses are delivered in English. I am familiar with all common referencing styles, such as Harvard, APA, MLA, Chicago and Vancouver, and am comfortable with documents in all disciplinary areas.
For international academics, I edit articles intended for publication in English language journals and conference papers and presentations for delivery at international conferences.
I have an MA in Russian and German from the University of Edinburgh, an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Essex and an MBA in Higher Education Management from the Institute of Education, University College London.
I taught English as a Second Language (ESL) in Singapore, Tokyo, Taipei and London. This included teaching English for Academic Purposes (EAP) at Queen Mary University of London and Kingston University (I was also Head of the International Office at Queen Mary University of London for almost 20 years).
I trained at the Proofreading Academy in the latest digital proofreading and editing methods and I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading. I have helped hundreds of students with their English assignments and have seen how proofreading and editing support can help improve grades.
I hope that I can achieve the same results for you and look forward to working with you.
